Advance Wars 2 Playthrough: Intro

READ DESCRIPTION! (I know its a lot harder now due to it being at the bottom of the vid. Damn Youtube updates)

Ive had this planned for a while, so Its about time I start my second commentary playthrough. Ill be covering one of my all time favourite GBA games, Advance Wars 2. It was one of the games I grew up with (probably the first non-Pokemon handheld games I owned) and I still play it every now and then.

This is an all S Rank playthrough, but NOT a perfect score run. That means I complete all missions, even the optional Lab ones, with S Ranks, but not necessarily perfect 300s. (the bare minimum for an S Rank is 280/300, and I only just make this in some of the tougher missions) Also, I dont follow any walkthroughs, I only use them to check the speed/power requirements of missions, and even then only occasionally. I win missions using my own strategy, and I want to encourage others to do likewise, which may seem hypocritical since Im making a walkthrough myself, but I want others to follow my example, not directly copy me. (you could, but you probably wouldnt have much fun)

You may notice that this game tends to focus on gameplay rather than story. One of its strengths, however (IMO), is the characters. There are almost 20 of them, and they all have their own unique personality and theme music. The game also does a good job of making them all different, gameplay-wise, and since you have to play as all of them at some point in the campaign, you need to learn to use a wide variety of tactics. (for example: Green Earths Eagle excels at lightning-fast air raids, while Sonja of Yellow Comet relies on reconisance and psychological warfare)

@BigKlingy ok thanks for clarifying that for me i wasnt entirely sure if IS helped with 1-3 but i knew for a fact that they did from 4 to the rest of the series the name you mentioned doesnt sound familiar though

That is true. It was one of their members, Shouzou Kaga, (the one who developed FE's 1 to 5) who left the company before the series came to the West, and that would be what anythingmasterz was reffering to.

@anythingmasterz fire emblem has always been made by intelligent systems actually even in japan they never took over the development at all i believe

I always thought that the Fire Emblem series games were better before Intelligent Systems took over, but at least thay brought the games over to the West.
