Surgery performed by academician Zan Mitrev, MD, FETCS at Special hospital "Filip Vtori", Skopje, Macedonia.
Treatment of irregular blood flow toward the legs, by bypassing the diseased part of the blood vessel with vascular prosthesis, or by using a vein from the patient itself, removed from the leg. Most often is used bypass from the aorta toward two femoral arteries or bypass from femoral toward popliteal artery. In our hospital successfully are preformed bypass procedures toward the lower leg and the food for initial gangrene, using the vein from the leg of the patient. Besides bypasses, also are performed plastical procedures for blood vessels at any level below aorta by using artificial surgical material. Curtain number of narrowing are treated even without surgery, by dilatation and insertion of stent in the narrowing itself. In our hospital there are preformed over 200 surgical interventions from this kind.
I'm terrified..this will be ME soon....I'm only 41yrs old, had this since 36 , and only have 1 vein left in each leg....GOD HELP ME.....
