The Swiss Army Knife is a multifunctioning tool besides being a knife. This compact knife can be used for many different things and is extremely convenient. The classic model is still popular though there are models available for those that love to fish, the handy man in your life, the constant tinker or person that takes everything apart and then puts it back together. There is a model available for mechanics as well as just general use.

The Swiss army knife was not the original name of the knife. It was coined from US soldiers coming home after the Second World War. They had taken the knifes form Germans who had bought the knives. It was originally called a soldier's knife. The actual cutting blades of the Swiss army knife are made with a hardness of Rockwell C of 56.
