Could you tell me exactly what "simple tasks" you've been trying to do that you couldn't? because i just rolled my entire institute on ubuntu and they've been doing everything from all the office work, basic graphic and video editing and surfing the internet. All without changing a single thing or "fixing" as you probably would call it.

Oh Ubuntu TV!!! Yep I am getting ready for that. Is the interface going to be "Dinamic" or can you fall-back to a Gnome 2 type with the remote? And of course do you buy the hardware like Goolge TV or use what you have already like a computer?

@wethepenguins01 I like the idea of Gnome3 and "Unity" I have tried it in VMs for seven months now and in different setups with a lot of trouble and complex reworking to do simple tasks, with out loading up the side quick launch bar. Its to dinamic for an admin or for most simple application users. If you know some secret that I was unable to find on Google or YouTube then please let me in on it. Otherwise I will be forced to follow Linus to Xfce or Enlightment.

to all the unity haters..
please guys give unity a chance. it is not just a pretty face. once you know your way through it, u'll find there is no interface even nearly as efficient, intuitive and easy to use as unity. ubuntu is a world class os.
