Throughout history Christian church killed many times more Europeans than Muslims did. Yet crosses and bell towers are not a symbol of oppression and backwardness? How is cross not a symbol of an entity that is alien to democracy and freedom? It was the church that most staunchly opposed any progress and enlightenment for centuries. And least Muslims brought you some scientific discoveries. What did the Church bring you other than Inquisition and witch hunts? Some wine and crackers on Sundays?

Haven't enough people in Europe died fighting against backward, oppressive power of Christian church to establish an enlightened, democratic, pluralistic society? And them churches still dare to put crosses on their roofs and ring bells. It's an outrage I tell you. Those crosses are eye sores. Every time I see them I think of Galileo, Giordano Bruno, Jan Huss, and many many others. Take them down, be consistent.

Hey Swiss people. How come you don't see crosses on church roofs and church bell towers as symbols of church trying to destroy your secular way of life? Do you know what would happen if church comes to power in Switzerland? It will be good bye democracy, secular order, and human rights. How come you don't take down them crosses and church towers? They are also a threat to secular, Western values.

Minaret is a symbol of political power? Really??? I don't hear about Muslims taking down crosses from churches that stand in Muslim countries for thousands of years. I never heard a Muslim say that crosses should be removed from churches because they are a symbol of an enemy. God, Westerners are such bigots.

I'm intolerant of all fake made up religions, I'd like to see the day when mankind realizes all these beliefs are completely false. Islam isn't compatable with western beliefs or law so we have a right to exclude such things. If I tried to go to Iran or Saudi Arabia and erect a christian church what would happen? exactly

Where practicing any other religion will get you thrown in prison.
