@wbboyd but how is this for gaming?
i don't use my pc for for anything else and i don't want one of these if it won't work well.

the answer to all of this is to get wireless and get away from the DESK.. i sit on a big comfy lazyboy chair with my body all stretched out.. and just use my dinovo edge keyboard for everything.. trouble is i do fall asleep sometimes.. L.O.L. .. still it is really great....

I have one of these on order in an attempt to ease tennis elbow and I'm inspired to make a rubberised wedge like yours as your video makes perfect sense. Would you be kind enough to tell me the precise angle the mouse leans at? Many thanks.

why don't you use an upright mouse?

I wrestled with the desk positions too. Got myself a narrow keyboard (looks like a laptop keyboard): no need to hover my hand across that useless numpad.
Also: I now position the trackball in front of my keyboard. So when I operate the trackball, my underarm is parallel to the keyboard. But your verticalmouse concept is great too, will sure remember that.

Clever idea! Thanks for posting.

Wow, smart idea with the ergonomic wave. I picked up my mouse and propped it up against a book to see how it felt. It was interesting, but not something I'd do. If it works, why not?
@ColorBlotch,
The height is the biggest drawback. I've knocked it over a couple of times moving to it from the keyboard. I'm hoping getting used to it's height will help. It's definitely not a perfect solution, but I've been struggling with this desk situation...so it helps. Thanks for the comments.

ColorBlotch,
No doubt...
Some of that flatness is exaggeration on the video for demonstration. Some of that is also the reality of a poorly purchased desk that I can't afford to replace right now. The height is funky and forces me into weird positions. However, I've found that I really do like the near 70 degree angle I now get with the stand I made. It's more comfortable than anything else I've ever tried on any other desk.

When I first started using the mouse, the scroll wheel did squeak and felt rough. It is definitely the most unpleasant part of the mouse. However, after a couple of days of use (for me that means about 30 hours), the squeak went away completely and it started to feel a lot smoother. Now it is fine. Thanks for the comment.
