@evensteve284 i dont have your experience as an engineer but have seen ryan adams many times and he tends to be a bit theatrical at times,but thats just how he performs i guess,im not sure if anything on "leno" is live or real but i believe he is playing live,he just has great equipment and talent,although i couldnt hear chewie or darth in the chorus which is suspect......

@evensteve284 DRA never sings along with a track. That's what separates him from the talentless trash on Top 40 radio. Yes, a bit pretentious with the blue spotlight, but it was his first solo album and he took some liberties.
Check out Ashes and Fire, Goodnight Rose, Cold Roses, The End, Goodnight Hollywood Blvd., Tears of Gold, Blue Hotel, just some of my favorite Ryan Adams songs that you might dig.

Hey - was that live or memorex? I'm a musician & a recording engineer. I can't tell if these guys are really playing live, or just playing along to a prerecorded track. Should I be impressed with the split that gets lit up w/ the blue light @ 2:15? A bit pretentious & scripted ya' think?
Before you all think I'm just a trolling hater, let me say that I LOVE "Lucky Now", which is the song that got me searching for more of this talented songwriter.
