  • It's a funny thing, when the day has gotten to be really long and nothing seems to be going right and I'm feeling down - I watch The Andy Griffith Show and things don't seem so bad anymore. This show conveys a hopeful feeling that settles around us like the calm, cool air after a storm.

  • The actor playing Opie's friend Johnny Paul was the same actor that played "Little Ricky" on I Love Lucy

  • @proboi Thanks, never knew that.

  • @mcpepper Perfectly stated and it really does.

  • @whippnmyhair Mange (play /ˈmeɪnʒ/) is the common name for a class of persistent contagious skin diseases caused by parasitic mites.[1] Since mites also infect plants, birds, and reptiles, the term "mange," suggesting poor condition of the hairy coat due to the infection, is sometimes reserved only for pathological mite-infestation of non-human mammals.--Wikipedia--Mange is a skin disease dogs get.

  • we all had to do this crap in school...

  • it cures the "mange". what is that? could someone let me know? i cant imagine putting vicks vapor rub on my dog for anything!

  • @mcpepper Andy Griffith said in interview, "The show was based around a couple simple words love, caring, friendship, courtesy". He turned down a very lucrative movie career for this show, MGM was promoting him as the next Marlon Brando when "A Face in the Crowd" came out, they were really banking on him to carry the studio but he took this role instead. Was a documentary on Turner Classic Movies couple months ago. He would also halt filming to allow Opie to do homework imagine that today? ha

  • love this one!!

  • thanks for these uploads - of the best TV show of all time!

  • Barney's so funny!
