Now, who would dislike this video, and why? This is hang gliding history recorded. It always amazes me the people who are out there, just showing how negative, or jealous they are. In this case, I wouls say jealous, for sure.

I had to double check my memory with friends who were also there but the pilot of the balloon was David Proud. You can see him at 8:49.

Good God! I was there with Wink on the day the record kite/balloon drop which appears near the end of this video. The internet is astounding.

Does anybody know the name of the pilot in the ballon drop sequence? Was it Don Cohen? I was there when Don was killed in 1975 or 1976 in Ft. Lauderdale. Very sad day.

This video is OBVIOUSLY not mine. Carl's early stuff is all over the place on the net. I met Carl and spent time with him in 1982 as I was an early BASE jumper (would have got #48 if I'd applied at the time). I can assure you, Carl would want his work to be out there and I'm glad it is.
