can someone help me, it always says at the end "Error opening C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\f103neptune\garrysmod\bin\models/new folder(6)/spike/Spike.mdl! (Check for write enable)
@1996nikola Well, professional-level character modelling isn't everything =P
If you have the patience and the time, I'd suggest you to try the beginners' tutorials (which should be included in every version of Max) If I remember correctly, I made a very basic MP40 within 2 months after downloading Max, but then again I used far too many unnecessary polygons and the topology was ugly
@1996nikola They seem easy but trust me, character modelling is a bitch. Generic-looking rigged characters cost hundreds of dollars on Turbosquid. There are plenty tutorials on the whole Internet, not just Youtube. I find it hard to believe that you can't find one : /
Also, from my experience, it's much harder to "change a model's face or something" than making a face from scratch.
I'm sorry if I sound harsh. I just want to give you a realistic view on modding.
@1996nikola This tutorial is about exporting from 3dsmax to gmod, not about 3d modelling. If you want to create a character it'll take you months or years of studying.
Back in 2006 I wanted to learn how to model a statue so I could take a snapshot and export it to Rise of Nations. 5 years later, I've earned quite a bit of money with my skills but I stopped caring about modding games for free : )

@pomponi0 actualy from the videos ive found its not that hard but.... most of them dont have sound and the text is tiny
-I want to use an existing model like Gman , import it into the program and than change his face or something like that and use it as a ragdoll
