Ojibwe Language and Culture Education students at The College of St. Scholastica interview students, in Ojibwe, about their first day of school. Different locations in the College's iconic Tower Hall and around campus are highlighted. A great Ojibwe language lesson!

  • @lordcello

I assume you are referring to getting a proper accent in the language?

I agree that the best way to do that is to listen to, talk to, and generally be around native speakers. With a lot of languages, this can be accomplished via audio and video recordings. Since an endangered language like Ojibwe has few such resources, the most pragmatic way to get a grasp of correct pronunciation and accent would be by visiting an Ojibwe community.

  • The way of knowing the Ojibwe language is not knowing the spelling but the meaning of the sound. One would have to live Ojibwe to know Ojibwe.

  • by the way is this ojibway

  • its soo sad how i dont know my own language im 12 and im not 50 or 60 like my profile but i know 6 words and dont know how to spell then young lady, deer, grandma, water, hi, and lets go know them but cant spell it
