@xnothingbutthetruth I'd stress that absolutely nowhere in the referendum was there any mention of there being multiple terms: the question was : would you agree to referendum on election to to decide on a Constitutional Assembly writing a new constitution, question mark, and that's it.

The new president, elected on that day, would have been in office by the time the Constitutional Assembly came up as an issue.
