This video is spot on. My family came from the USSR, my grandfather was trained as a civil engineer but the pay and working conditions were worse than being a sailor so naturally he became one to better support us, and then people wonder why buildings fall apart in socialist countries or why the border is closed to people from leaving.

you have been sucked into a hole of thinking that products are happiness and without a wide variety of choice in what to buy happiness cannot be fulfilled, i think humanity is more then that. life where wealth and decisions are decided within a communal scale in which are actions can be put into our passions and not someone else's motive to gain profit. where social policy wasn't based on the motives and actions of brutal transnational corporations.

Poor people smoke marlboros, drink coca-cola, eat burgers and fries just like the rest of America. I grew up poor, and capitalism gave me the chance to pull myself up by my own bootstraps. All the while sipping coca-cola. The poor here are like kings anywhere else.

Russia isn't a first world country. It has a unique position between a developing and developed stage. It also isn't fully capitalist. If it was capitalist then no politicians/government officials would own companies and the government wouldn't be able to do anything with your business.

Russia isn't capitalist. It has an authoritarian perverted version of a capitalism-esque economic policy.
