@MusicalMi let's be honest amanda palmer wouldn't have a career if she just did covers... her voice alone isn't that great but her songwriting is stunning... if you can write songs as good as hers i couldn't give a toss what you sang like ... in short she's not a "successful professional singer" ... she's a fucking amazing musician

I may catch a lot of flack for this... but this woman's cover of this makes me believe I can go out and be a successful professional singer if that's as good as you have to be..... this is really off key , pitchy, and if not for the overbearing string section it would have been unbearable. (especially the everlasting peace section)

Damn, what's with all the hating on Amanda? Shit, she does a great job. Illegitimate? Boring? Hides her crappy voice? That's absolutly the most ridiculous shit I've heard. She's got a great voice, she's very talented and so what, she's not on the radio...just means we won't get bored of her like we get bored of your favorite artist.
