Lots of circle and suppling exercises. If you have tall grass or deep sand helps dramatically. Until his gait is set in stone you should practice different variations of the walk. Such as a collected walk then a fast brisk walk then maybe a working walk. Make sure to ride him just before his breaking point. Meaning ride him as fast as he can walk or just before he breaks into a pace. The trick that you will be teaching your horse is muscle memory. If you have any more questions let me know.

Wait, I watched it again and he seems to be doing both. sorry... Just lots of gentle collection and leg to encourage him will help, and if he canters that will help too.

I believe he is doing a running walk, it too smooth. Nice, calm walk is good, which he has. =]

r u kidding me thats not a pace thats a running walk a pace is really fast and you should get professional help on that really crappy gait it looks like you are trotting bouncing up and down its ridiculous

That horse is nor even remotely doing a flat walk. He was pacing the whole time. It's probably a step pace which is a bit smother than just a pace. However the pace or trot is strongly frowned upon in a TWH.

well, can you give me some tips on how to improve his walk? I mean, at the moment I can't ride him anyway, at least for two months, because a tendon in his front leg is slightly ripped... but it would be nice of you^^
