The Streets - 06 - A Blip on a Screen

Mike Skinner of The Streets began releasing new songs via his Twitter account in 2009.

The song entitled "A Blip on a Screen" was released on April 23, 2009.

During that time, Skinner was working on his new studio album "Computers and Blues." Initially, it was unclear if the new Twitter songs would appear on the new album, but, in late 2010, it was made known that some would make the cut, while others would not. Fans now commonly refer to these Internet distributed recordings as the "Twitter Album."

He posted the song on his Official Twitter Page.

  • @jamesarongray use zamzar or some other video converter

    zamzar.com :D

  • Do we know Anne Clark? She and They are Great !!!

    Wounderfull

    Thanks

  • 100th person to like this

  • I suspect its about his unborn baby that is due.

Although I can really relate to this atm because my son was born last year but the nasty bitch of an ex has still not let me see him. To me this is soo relevent as the blip on a screen (ive only seen online pictures) of the child that I love still doesnt know me :(

  • I know Mike won't read these, but i've had an idea..

Mike should do an Apprentice/X-Factor crossover TV series for the next project.

Mike as Alan Sugar, competing songwriters & firing if below par-the successful candidate being taken under his wing to write excellent songs.

Who better to do it than Mike, all shades of music covered, along with excellent songwriting ability-perfect antidote to the @~:{? Factor!

He could change the "Star in a tin" to something more lasting & promote a future skill

  • @TheDonRobinson91 We should start it mate, i'd seriously write a letter. Anyone else on board??

  • One of the best ballads ive ever heard of him! great tune!
