オオカマキリの孵化#1：概観 Mantid Baby Boom

オオカマキリ♀が卓上電気スタンドに卵鞘を 産み付けたが、野外で採集してから単独飼育 11日目に産卵したので未受精卵ではないかと油断していた。自然状態では卵で越冬するが、室内は暖かいため産卵から44日後、幼虫が続々と孵化して机上は大惨事に。この時­の室温19℃。3日前（産卵41日後）から五月雨式に孵化が始まりこの日ピークに。母親は捕獲前に交尾済みだったことになる。（#2へつづく）

Numerous nymphs began to hatch from a spongy eggcase (ootheca) which had been laid down behind my desktop lamp 44-days ago. This vid was recorded on late-November, 2006 in Japan.

well, it was their natural-born colour.

after a few hours, they became brown.

now the eggs have hatched i have over 200 mantis help! :)

how did u count them?

if u wanna rear them, u have 2 feed them small bugs such as fruitflies and aphids.

maybe it depends on various conditions such as the species, the temperature and so on.
