U.S. Society is, in itself, a very violent society. Yes, we force kids to go to an environment that is overall not safe. Kids are taught to be very cruel to each other and then we don't teach these same children how to deal with that trauma. I was bullied for several years and wanted other kids to stop harrassing me. It seems that kids that end up shooting reach there breaking point and don't know how else to deal with it other than violence.

@diodorus4 What can make someone become misanthropic? Think about that real good before replying.

Eric Harris is still alive.

@diodorus4 Misanthropy? Small penises? What the hell are you talking about? Sexual frustration has nothing to do with this. Kids get beaten down figuratively by school system and literally by their classmates, and they're twisted by loneliness and hatred until they can't see any other way to fight back. It's as simple as that. It's so obvious that the only reason I can think of for why people haven't said so already is that they don't want to acknowledge that our schools are such a mess.

@NYanarchy08 I can't comment on the conditions that you describe. Yes, there are some paralells with orwell in our society, but most people that read are aware of this. Classic misanthropy and dissolutionment are much more plausible factors. And when the spree killers make referances to eachother in letters and on video, we call that a pandemic, not mearly "lashing out," agreed? You may be right. I still don't follow your logic. Maybe they had small penises or something...
The USA isn't the only country with a lot of guns. These massacres happen because the school system oppresses and alienates students who don't assimilate to society. And when they snap, the paranoia and security increases, making a whole new batch of terrorists. It's a brutal cycle that will never change unless students are given their basic human rights to freedom and dignity.

forcing kids to attend schools against there wishes in itself is an insane act. I never actually remember the government ever actually asking me what kind of life would i like to live but know they just force you to attend this rotten shithole prison like institutions. I see no real spiritual value in alot of what you learn at school. People will fight back when forced to live against there wishes. it's not like these places hold any value
