Based on Southern Iran movements, this dance combines elements of modern life and dance techniques with ritual dances of ancient past. The origins of this dance goes back to women healers both in the middle east and in Africa.

  • Salam! I'm a german who is interested to learn iranian dances...where is a good video here to learn from it? I really wanna do it authentic and traditional...also a modern style bandari would be nice! Moteshakeram for any usefull help!

    Ps: The dance is interesting..it look's like a trancedance

  • @shoorideh1 Thank you for your thoughtful comment and yes this is a tancedance based on traditions of "trance to heal". Unfortunatley, I am not aware of any good Persian dance vidoes for learning purposes

    in knowing the traditions of Southern Iran...

  • @AtashDanceGroup Salam! Merci... I can learn a lot from information like yours. I was doing polynesian and asian dance for over 15 years. Is it ok, if I take some of the movements of your video to create an choreography? Merci va Khoda hafez!
