It seems kinda strange, this song is thirty years old now. However it brings back fond memories when it first came out in late August 1981. Hearing it almost makes me wish I was only 22 years old again.
I remember this rare and golden track very well, though sadly it's never heard on local radio ever again. But Lulu is (as always) a most beautiful woman, and along with Olivia Newton-John, will forever be the most sweetest and beautiful person in my eyes.
I remember this great little song from the Fall of 1981.
That was a time when you used to listen to the radio and hope songs that you liked would get played. Not like the youtube/ipod generation.
I had not heard this in over 25 years, but always remembered it. I did not remember the tiitle of artist and it has gotten ZERO radio play since the early 80s. How many songs like this are lost to oblivion while we still have to hear mediocre music from the 80s played over and over?
@djdavemick This song has a 1979 copyright on it, so it's technically still a '70s song. But a la Video Killed The Radio Star, MTV helped to make it a real hit. Actually, people see Lulu not as something on Solid Gold, but as a '60s artist!
it reminds me of my ex boyfriend paul, and living in princeton ky.
