The Original Gospel Harmonettes with Mildred Madison Miller-Howard singing "Plenty Good Room".

This was recorded back in the period when Dorothy Love Coates rejoined the group in about 1950, when Mildred Miller was still lead of the group.

The Picture is of The Gospel Harmoneers.

  • tru... but the other song u posted with dorothy love coateson lead was quite 'refined' id like to hear a song with both of them on lead

  • Have you not heard them singing "He's Calling Me"? That's their best duet in my opinion!

  • I hear Dorothy in the background! Great post Shane bless ya!

  • YEAP! Dorothy was getting ready for a take over..lol! But Mildred was a tough second lead for real, she could copy Dorothy's nuances impeccably, yet was more refined in her singing wheras Dorothy was very rural..

  • They all sound good, but Mrs. Dorothy Love Coates had something very special. One of my favs from Ms. Mildred is when she is sangin' on "Everyday Will Be Sunday". While she's sangin', she's demonstrating and it's flowing so well together and you've gotta love the smile.

  • That's a very special group of ladies right there! So many great recordings.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this
