The Virtual Revolution Episode 1: Explores the origins, history and impact of the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW). From its Cold-War military origins in the 1950;s, through its evolution as a meeting place of the 1960s hippy/libertarian movement, to its modern-day incarnation through the genius of Tim Berners-Lee and other like minded pioneers. The Internet/WWW is seen as powering the 2nd Industrial Revolution; its impact on humanity as profound as Guttenbergs Printing Press, or the power of Steam to the original Industrial Revolution.

    Internet

by the looks of things; a platform for commercials and propaganda

YT for instance has it all; bannaers, ads, commercials, govt moderators

and they have everything they need; ppl that don't give a fuck (28 likes) and ppl that want more, more, more (yt partners)

    :(

  • does the internet stand for interconnected network, international network or is it simply what it is?

  • Very Good documentary

  • whats the music in the bg 05:10? where can i find it? :)

  • What's an "internet"?

  • One of the best things about the internet is that it allows a first average person to capture action as it happens and honestly show it for many others to know. There should be a nuetral place to connect.

  • great show
