I worked for a machine tool builder for 20 years. Had we incorporated these kind of features into our machines, we would still be in business. Kinda sad. The base was thje size of the whole machine, and when ever the tool mag indexed, the tool would chatter. Problem solved here. To achieve the rigidity we needed, the worm gear on the rotary table was very tight. It would wear out quickly, and was a major teardown to rebuild it. The list goes on and on..this is a brilliant machine design.
