I love this movie and I love Thomas! He's my favorite throughout the whole movie. I think he should be given way more credit.

@rob9641 It is ironic, or maybe poetic, that he died while the last scene in which he would appear in any movie was being edited. Seeing him in this role you would never know how sick was during filming.

laugh at it too. Just not sure what he meant. Either "Rights" with a real heavy southern drawl, or "rats" as in his kids.

If they ever film Last Full Measure I hope they will include the story of how Tom Chanberlain searched the battlefield at Petersburg for his brother, bringing him the company surgeon who then saved JLC's life. Just one more aspect of these 2 brothers amazing story.....

@Grumpycline Richard Jordan also did a great job as "Uncle Howard" in the movie "The Secret Of My Success"!
Can't stop myself from crying at the Armistead part....every time.

@moleman9000 Pat Falci was an advisor on the film. At the Gburg VC last summer, he told the crowd that just as they were editing this scene, Richard Jordan died.

@rob9641 Jeez thats sadly ironic, he played the part to the end so to speak.

@moleman9000 More irony - Jordan had a distant cousin who was in the real battle in 1863. William S. Jordan was one of the real 2nd Maine men, and he was mortally wounded with the 20th Maine at Little Round Top.
