Puncture hits theaters on Seeptember 23rd, 2011.

Cast: Chris Evans, Mark Kassen, Brett Cullen, Marshall Bell, Michael Biehn, Jesse L. Martin, Roxanna Hope, Tess Parker, Kate Burton, Vinessa Shaw

Mike Weiss (Chris Evans) is a talented young Houston lawyer and a functioning drug addict. Paul Danziger (co-director Mark Kassen), his longtime friend and partner, is the straightlaced and responsible yin to Mike's yang. Their mom-and-pop personal-injury law firm is getting by, but things really get interesting when they decide to take on a case involving Vicky (Vinessa Shaw), a local ER nurse, who is pricked by a contaminated needle on the job. As Weiss and Danziger dig deeper into the case, a health care and pharmaceutical conspiracy teeters on exposure and heavyweight attorneys move in on the defense. Out of their league but invested in their own principles, the mounting pressure of the case pushes the two underdog lawyers and their business to the breaking point.
Brothers and directors Mark and Adam Kassen bring this real-life story to the screen with all the urgency and passion of the subjects themselves. The result is an effective issue-driven drama that finds its footing in a contemporary David and Goliath story.

That's my point though. That something was done already and justice was served. What he was fighting for has come true because it's happening as we speak. I feel sad for what happened in the movie too, but that just means it was a good movie and a strong way to get the point across.

Im sure that movie is not 100% accurate,i hope someone is in jail for that. What would happen if no one took this case, how many years would pass until someone note there is a problem with needles and that solution for it exist, how many med workers would still be in danger and how many ppl would be infected by accident. It suck to see how all at the end comes to money and profit.

I'm not saying that at all. Do you know if anyone went to jail for this? Do you know that this movie is 100% accurate because it's "based on a true story"? Please, let me know. I'm fully willing to admit if i'm wrong here, but from what I KNOW...hospitals have taken safety needles. it just didn't sweep the nation overnight. Yeah, huge crime against humanity if hospitals weren't already using them right now. But obviously SOMETHING happened already for them to begin carrying them

Your comment would have merit if safety needles weren't in hospitals already. My mom works with them sometimes. some hospitals don't have them however

Well, I've been a Junkie for 15 years. I never lived on the street or became a criminal. I studied, have a good job and people never thought that there was something wrong with me. I even did a lot of sports and was in very good shape. I don't know how old you are or how many junkies you know, but believe me there's not just one label for drug addicts. Like there are different people, there are different junkies.

Functional junkies can be. There are more junkies out there working and doing everyday things than you think. I managed to study and have four jobs while doing drugs. I managed more than some other people at some times. Junkies are not just the ones on the street, being criminals, whoring and stealing. That's what people forget. As a junkie you learn to cover up and play better than others, so you won't get noticed. I met doctors, managers, broker...like with me, nobody ever noticed.
