  • Thanks just trying

Yes it is a carb, two barrel Holly 1957...

found it somewere, intake is 3.5inch

from the turbo, intakemanifold is cutoff

and Carb fitted with adaptorplate from bacolite 1inch thick.

  • Wow, that runs really well. Looks a great example!

Is it intended for something or is it just as a running testbed? :)

  • Yes ,just watch the space.

I want to fit it in an 1995 Toyota Corolla,

make it rearwheel drive.....with a Alfa diff.

Later....running with Hydrogen, that is the 3alternators for ,to get 200amp.

  • passt die kiste so in nen rover 216 si? is ein 95er baujahr ich würde ihn sofort abkaufen:D

  • It has an oil feed ..you can see the RETURN OIL LINE to the sump ..The unused holes at the top are for water cooling..the tubro works fine without this .@ingosalomonSA..What BMW gearbox is this and here did you get the conversion kit. Thanks

  • LOL alle schreiben english und du bist deutscher xDD also ich find lustig .... echt geiles teil man ;)

  • No oil feed to the turbo?? Thats one guaranteed way to score & cook the bearings! Even a few seceond without oil is enough to damage the bearing faces. Great engine otherwise.

  • poor little turbo. shoulda had a chance at a better life.

  • @tomastilrem lol hey boy where ya bin all ya life ? that theres one of them new fangled air lubed turbos.yes suree, they last 60 seconds each.i think the title of this posted video is wrong. it should be " watch me wreck all my hard work with my new project by missing the obvious"

  • @fre2fly A carb works with no vacume on a normal engine. Hook up a vacume gauge and take the car out and wind it out, there will be no vacume on the gauge until you back off. There is a "vacume" (low pressure actually) in the carb venturi though, and this allows atmospheric pressure to bear upon the fuel in the bowl and PUSH the fuel up and into the booster venturi where it exists into the air stream. ON a blow through system the bowls have to see turbo pressure of it will blow the fuel out.

  • did you start it without oil line???? isnt that killing youre turbo?

  • @ingosalomonSA

I hope u dont think that u can generate enough electricity to produce enough hydrogen from water to run the engine without petrol?

The energy needed to create the hydrogen far exceeds the amount found in the hydrogen, to make enough electricity u will use all of engines power!

  • @ingosalomonSA

is it a sealed blow through carb?

How did u jet it correctly on the stand, do u have a dyno?

u shouldnt run that without oil line to turbo and that turbo look rather big to run without wastegate or intercooler, u may find that it over speeds and stops pumping air (efficiency envelope) or it may get air so hot that although pressure is higher its less dense than atmosphere.
