Inserting a Nasopharyngeal Airway myself. Medics said they had never seen it so I had to set the standard.

I'm in the infantry. We were in a CLS class. The instructor said that we had to insert and have one interted. So I asked if doing it to our selves would count as both. It didn't, but I decided to try anyways.

Man I hate inserting nasal trumpets - and they aren't even that size!! IcheeMomma!!! I wish my patients were all like you - then I could just hand them the nasal pharyngeal, the nasal-gastric tubes, the iv line start kit and (oh my) the foley and rectal tubes. Oh I hate inserting tubes!!! So how did it feel? Next challenge - self intubation of ventilator with mongo oral endotracheal tubing (just joking - please don't try that!) So are you learning medic stuff? Awesome.
