@itsMauriceCassidy where as in true blood , when Marnie was casting that spell she opened the doors telekinetic like on VD and lit candles like on VD and she floated!! in the air when the hell has Bonnie or any other witch done that on VD , they have sun barriers , flaming floating circles, fairy energy blasts, fog spells and lets not forget the disappearing invisible thing but in vampire diaries they fight off vampires with noise

@itsMauriceCassidy thats exactly my point that "wink" is just acting and background noise there's no effects there , when Bonnie (and i do love Bonnie ) does a spell the most exciting thing that happens is you hear strange sounds a candles light up , hell even when she faced down Klaus there was just wire to pull the actors when she did her telekinisis , super large fans to blow the wind and little sparks to go off , that is all technical stuff no special effects and or CGI.
