During the siege of Fallujah by US forces in Iraq in 2004, 1362 civilians were killed (616 in the first phase, 746 in the second phase) according to Iraq Body Count, along with 1534 insurgents, many of whom were local residents.

This makes up a total number of 2896 people killed by US forces in a city with a population of 426,000. So far in the siege of Misrata, around a total of 750 people have been killed so far by Gaddafi out of 500,000 residents.

This same thing happened in Iran a couple of months back! The "Old Regimes", wont let the people vote for who they want in office! It would be like a cruel Jimmy Carter popping up and saying,"okay folks, I'm back in control again, and this is how we're going to do things, and if you dont like it, you're going to be put in jail, or we're going to make you all go inside your houses at 6pm every night!
