Fighters opposed to Libya's leader strengthened positions around the strategic oil port of Brega, a day after they fought off an attempt to retake it by forces loyal to Moammar Gadhafi. Mourners buried the dead from Wednesday's battle. (March 3)

  • They waste there ammo by shooting in the sky, then 2 weeks later they start crying to NATO to give them weapons......

  • Its funny when libya started blaming 'al-quieda'..... bbc, abc, nbc, itv news etc probably said, fuck you al-quieda is our punch line!

  • fak the oil, let's use electricity or ethanol...it would cost less, then piles of bombs. on the other hand fireworks are useless as well, the problem is that people like entertainment

  • @rambo753 yeah caus they hav barely have any access to the internet

  • The large, the overwhelming majority of Italians is against this war.

Our government, like all the others in the West, are only serving the interests of their masters, the financial and jewish lobbies.

Democracy?? The west lives in a soft and disguised tyranny....

at least the Chinese don't have such illusions of democracy....

  • I wonder if anybody is really persuaded again by the lies of the west media....

  • @wiley789 I never stated that Libya had full employment and no ghettos. The US has close to 20 percent unemployment presently....and plenty of ghettos which one dare not enter if one values one's life. Comparatively speaking, per capita, in all of Africa nations....Libya had it pretty good, better than most nations. But modernization was happening. One must remember that the West had placed a number of embargoes on Libya. The Western oligarchy has wanted control for over 40 years.

  • @Chidanandaji dont know where you get your info from mate, but i worked in libya and they most certainly do NOT have full employment. there are masses of people without jobs struggling to get by. and as for modern, thats questionable, perhaps in tripoli where power is based there is a semblance of modernity, but travel east to tobruk and you will see slums and squalid conditions. The money is all spent in the west of the country.
