There is no country at present which does not permit this to happen. What people need to understand is that from a mystical point of view submission to a belief system is not to be considered permissieable or desireable.
Practicing a belief system without doing it at somebody else´s expense.

DO NOT allow your friend to marry this muslim man. I GUARANTEE , his family will not accept her as their own, and will make her cover her self and wear a burqa. If the husband does abuse her, his family will not correct him..they will let the violence continue. I lived in an arab country for 7 years, i know what im talking about.
