Latvia equates Stalinism and Nazism

Russian and Jewish groups have hit out at a new Latvian national holiday that commemorates the victims of Stalinism and Nazism on the same day.

@nuwa81 Baltics? It is called police action, dummy. At that time, baltics were ruled by dictators, like Ulmanis in Latvia. They were pro-nazi and banned elections, didnt allow referendums. People saw chance to get deocratic by allowing vote for Communist parties, and USSR did police action. Russia even spent 32 million Reichsmarks to by off Lithuania lands from Germans. We helped them.

USSR by march of 1940 BREACHED Finnish defences EVERYWHERE - and Finish goverment realised that couple of weeks - and USSR will take entire country under control.

THEY - FINLAND OFFERED PEACE - because they LOST that war. Finland LOST TERRITORIES.

Soldier from penal batalion who fearlessly assault MG nest through minefield. Gulag slave who willingly tried to fulfill impossible norms to help war effort.
