Wow that kid is so black you can't even see a distinction between his face and his hair with the big lips. It almost looks like they are making fun of his character and a little racist. Hopefully that wasn't the intent.

the boy should have know that he was already out of the south..... They live in New England, so he has been out of the south for quite a while already! Maybe he was heading to canada or something......
