@lpkluis I've played in several orchestras/symphonies and my father is a conductor. The music can be agreed upon by the musicians for style and pace. The conductor 'can' be a vital part but in reality they're there simply for stylistic concepts. His job ultimately is to start and stop the group. Its just my opinion but conductors for the most part are over paid glory hounds, sorry. At a high school or college level they're important for the means of teaching.

I disagree. It leaves a little to the imagination. :-)

@ElectronHexagon with respect, sir, I meant completely wrong . . . followed by the rest.

@ElectronHexagon Yes, completely. Ever play in an orchestra? The conductor is vital to a group like this making this artistic achievement. Yes, I played.
-
@ElectronHexagon With all due respect, you are incorrect.

Conductors: And individual needed to start and stop the orchestra.
No need to even film the guy. The musicians produce the music. :)
