I agree most of the world use meters for measuring most things, but not in aviation.
Convention on International Civil Aviation; Annex 5; "... there are some non-SI units which have a special place in aviation and which will have to be retained, at least temporarily. These are the nautical mile and the knot, as well as the foot when it is used in the measurement of altitude, elevation or height only."
ask a pilot at your dz, next time you're there.

ok, 2 things... is it really skydiving if it's a static line pull? You only freefall for a couple of seconds while the chute deploys, so you're not really 'diving' are you?
2nd... why are you measuring altitude in meters? I've heard of someone who learnt using meters getting very confused when with other skydivers who use the international aviation standard of feet (as most skydivers seem to). Do the planes there use meters as well for altitude? (somehow I doubt it)

@jinjatube In most of the world we use metric system. So altitude in our altimeters are measured in meters or kilometers.
