Curb Alert 2

My neighbors were packing up and moving to Idaho. I knew they were going to leave a bunch of stuff in their driveway for the city to pick up, so I decided to try something out.. I spent all weekend long organizing and cleaning my garage. In the wee hours of Sunday morning, I started to slowly and quietly filter all of my clutter and un-used items over to their driveway to blend in with all of the stuff they left behind. Were not talking trash either, I mean I really put forward a tremendous effort to rid my garage, and in turn, my life, all of this useless to me clutter that was controlling me. I put everything from used laptop computers, to, golf equipment, clothes, old jewelry, sporting equipment, furniture, etc, etc.....
I knew I could have made hundreds of dollars through yardsales and craigslistings, but that required too much time, energy and effort i didnt have since I have a new baby girl on the way. So I decided to give it away to someone else that would enjoy it as much as I did. Amazingly enough, when I posted to craigslist "free stuff", (for the record, I am absolutely in Love with this site) a lot of people showed up to retreive these free items. I posted, "moving to Idaho and leaving behind all of our old memories to start anew, please come and take the items I chose to leave behind and let them start new memories for you everything from computers, to chairs, bbq, tables, etc.....
Within 35 minutes on the button these 2 trucks arrived and began to load up everything we had to offer. Keep in mind this was all unsuspecting to my neighbors that were re-locating. The videos I have posted are un-edited and raw so I apologize for the image quality. But the point is, I created this magical transformation between all of our lives. I was able to clear the clutter, and clean my garage so I can be proud to leave it open for all the neighbors to see. I, in turn, made the craigslist hunters especially happy with this unique and random opportunity to get new things, or take home and sell. And for the family leaving, it let them leave with the satisfaction of knowing they didn't leave a huge mound of used stuff sitting in the driveway and worrying about the fine tooth comb the landlord was going to bring and use for a ransom tactic. All in all, it was a pretty cool weekend, I think none of us will ever forget.
