It doesn't matter how rich or poor, big or small -- every city, town and village has stray, homeless, abandoned, lost, neglected, starving, injured, and sick cats and dogs who are somehow surviving in the streets. These animals were once, or could be, someone's beloved pet. They shouldn't be sick, hungry, or in pain. They don't speak our many languages but they do speak one language we all have in common -- unconditional love. You can see it in their eyes... all they want is a pat on the head, a little food and a comfortable spot to sleep. And in return they will be your friend forever. My hope is that more people take notice and do something to help at least one stray cat or dog... it would make a BIG difference.
My thanks to the photographers who documented the hopelessness, pain and suffering of these innocent creatures. Some of these photographers did rescue the animals whose photos they took. And, my heartfelt thanks to all the people who have rescued and helped at least one stray cat or dog in need.

  • I am writing an animal-related book at this moment, half way through the manuscript, and IF I secure publication, intend to donate 50% of my proceeds to animal rescue programs. Your video was excellent and shows the dire need for love so many animals have everywhere on our planet.

  • I heard that if every american would have 5 dogs, yes each person, would have 5 dogs if they were all saved. 5 dogs for mom, 5 dogs for dad, 5 dogs for brother, and 5 dogs for sister. thats 20 dogs in one regular family. It's so sad. Surely you can't have 20 dogs in your home....... but you can make sure your pets are spayed.

  • ok i have an idea if ur looking for a pet then go out around your neiborhood or anywhere else or to a pound or animal shelter a nd get dog or cat if ur willing to promise that u will get pet of the streets we could make a difference

  • Just found a stray Siamese/Tabby mix. In our care right now.

  • i already trying to save cats and dogs

  • im not trying to be mean or anything its just a fact so dont be mad at me k?

most of the cats in cracow aren't abandoned or anything they are just out on "walks" when i was little i was worried for them too so i followed each one i saw and all of them returned to some sort of home. but there are still stray cats and dogs there just most of them aren't stray. very thoughtful to put this video up! made me cry great job 5 stars! :)

  • :( This is so so so upsetting...

  • It is such a sad fact...I have taken in an abandoned guinea pig who one of his back legs chewed off. I have also taken a dog. I hope there are more people like me in every place listed to have the heart to make room.
