So, as you've seen in other videos I've uploaded, I attended a George Kollias drum clinic in 2008 (I believe). I learned so much from this clinic about metal drumming. I finally bought the George Kollias DVD from the last Nile Tour. Because of his lesson on speed and control, I learned how to play double bass from not knowing how to at all, as well as how to control my speed. Try it for yourself, from 16th notes to 8th notes, and eventually from 32nd notes to 16th notes to 8th notes at a low bpm.

  • when you post a video of you playing 270 bpm ill be the first one to comment and watch ive always been wanting to see a girl do blastbeats and insane double bass

  • @blastbeatfreak85 Haha! I thought 250 was always the magic number? Now I'd better aim for 270.. By the way, I'd love to see videos of you playing at 270! :)

  • Pretty sweet Dolly! :D

Random question but do you feel like your hi hat is too low + far away?

Cause it looks like it may be affecting the power you use (or could use). If that makes any sense :P

    x.

  • @drew3usa It is too far! I am going to raise it up and bring it closer and see how that helps! Thanks for the advice + comment :)

  • @Dreamslayer1987 No drummers get married to people that can't specify the difference between "base" and "bass".

  • Wanna get married?

I got a Premier Genista and a Pearl Masters both with 2 basedrums.

    Please say yes;D

  • such a sick kit wow lets trade

  • Awesome to see other people showing George some love haha. Check out the exercise he does on double bass speed with the different speed levels. After only about a month of working on that one I noticed a huge difference in my playing. Keep it up!

  • Good starting point and also good technique, loving the kit as well keep it up with the good work, your control and speed will improvise more within time ;)

  • your drum kit makes me jealous. =)

  • good my friend....!
