This film was a breakthrough for Dennis Hopper as a director. A movie that you must simply love - here ideals are illustrated: hippie culture, the irrepressible thirst for liberty, but also the small-mindedness of the petty bourgeoisie is not neglected. Those who wore long hair and does not adapt to the "brave" bourgeoisie, was considered not socially acceptable and was chased. This film shows clearly the philistines on the borders. Is a regular guest in my DVD player. Greetings from Germany.
