☺☻☺☻Japanese Lullaby by Keiko Yamada☺☻☺☻

READ THIS!!! The 4th and 5th pic you see is Keiko Yamada a.k.a. the creator of Japanese Lullaby. The cartoons are illustrations she made.When you hear the violins start thats my group playing. I just got this song today (friday,february 8, 2008) in orchestra and I liked it so I decided to post it. So here you go. By the way (b.t.w.) Japanese Lullaby is based upon the Japanese folk song Mori no Fukuro or in English The Forest Owl. An entirely new composition is created by using this pensively beautiful tune as its inspiration, the melody of this folk song is truly unique to western music in that it incorporates ten measures phrases. Both dramatic and colorfully orchestrated, this new offering by Yamada will be a unique addition to any concert program.

I played this song last year with my 8th grade orchestra class and it was everyone's favorite song. We played it (almost) perfectly. I had the 2nd violin duet part :3 (the lower pitch one). I have the whole song memorized, I love it so much! :D
