Hi Kuruma10,
She is on the heavy side, but not overly so. Most of the flight from take-off to landing was pilot error. I was awfully nervous, but didn't want to give away the honor, or burden another pilot with the pitfalls of, the maiden flight. She'll fly better next time!

To me it looks the model was far too heavy. Even during the take off it looked like it is going to stall. It definetely needs more speed to lift up and for a safe landing as well.

Hi Aryajet,
Thanks for taking time to follow my build, and for your note here. I'm working on a small DF trainer to get more experience with running DF engines, then I'll get the A-10 back in the air.

Paul, I have been following the build in rcu and ur website, what a magnificent Hog she ended up being. Sorry for your loss but I'm sure you'll return with Her built better than before. Looking fwd for the next maiden.
I have a K&B 7.5 DF engine that I bought several years ago...been wanting to put it in a traditional Glow DF...I have been considering goingwith a Sarpolus/Midwest Jetster...as I have the plans for a scratchbuild.
You are brave to do a DF with two engines...you have multi engine prop experience?
What do you feel are the big difference going form prop to DF?
What level should I achieve prior to DF....certainly low wing sport...maybe a hot pattern plane?

Thanks for writing. I was a little too brave going directly into twin DF without multi-engine experience. The main difference between prop and DF is keeping the engines tuned and running. A fast pattern plane would be good experience before getting into a fast DF jet. Thanks again for writing.

hi, I have an A10 but electric, from the looks on the video your plane was to heavy on the back, your cg should be a litle more on the front, but even so when engine failure you just have to hope for good landing, nice fly. keep it up

Hi minotauro109,
Thanks for commenting on my video. I'll be adjusting the cg once I get back to work on the A-10. Might be a little while, though.
Thanks again,
Paul

Sorry about your A10. Your wife (I think)was praying for your engines on landing I love that. On my video you could hear my wife screaming Nooo just before my hotspot nosedived in to the ground and how she sprinted to the crash site with the fire extinguisher. Some time we forgot about their support.

Hi basimpsn,
Thanks for your comments on my video. It is indeed nice to have the support of family. They do feel the pain right along with you.
