Iphone 3g wont charge

no matter what I do, this iphone will not charge. I've put it in several wall outlets and it will not charge. It wont charge in the car, it wont charge with a USB I've done a reset as you see, where you hold both buttons, and the phone will not charge

This happened to me twice when I let the battery die, the problem with my iPhone not charging was because I used some chinese charger, and the charger didn't have power to charge the iphone from zero, it charges the iphone when it have more than 15% of battery, but it takes more than twice the time to do it to 100% compared to an original Apple charger.

If you don't have an official Apple charger my advice is to borrow one from a friend or try it out on a Apple store.Thumb up so ppl can see it

no lightening bolt, no nothing, plug-arrorw-bolt symbol appears after pressing simultaneously the home and lock botton for more than 5 seconds. it strikes me as though the battery is bad since last night i drained it to absolute zero. any solutions? i have tried most the stuff talked about on this post.. to no avail so far..

This is How I Charged mine.

Step 1: Plug Your iPhone/iPod/iPad to your computer or laptop

Step 2: While your device is still pluged in, Turn on your computer and login.

The reason why your iPhone won't charge is that because your charger doesnt have enough power to charge it, unlike a computer its takes a huge amount of electricity just to turn on yout computer and since your iPhone is plugged in that electricity goes into your iPhone

My phone did this when it died while using YouTube, 1 remove sin card (use paper clip) 2 keep it plugged in 3 Hold lock and home till it flashes and turns off. (10 seconds) 4 wait for 30 minutes, NO LESS! 5 leave plugged in hold lock button (top) it will turn on 2 the apple. ~ I herd: Hold home button 5 sec. then plug in (did not work for me) also heard plug into itunes and reset your computer (make sure your pc sleep mode is off) I did not try this but seems to work for most.

@Jabbanfan111 that totally worked for me. I plugged my iphone 4 into my laptop. Nothing happened obviously - hence reading this thread. Then I did the mute flippy switch thing and held down the power button and menu button for more like 20 seconds and just when I was about to lose hope, the apple appeared. Best apple I've ever seen.

I fixed mine by pushing the mute button up and down 4 times then presing the lock and home button for 7-10 seconds then an apple pops up then it starts working and you could charge it in your computer. I hope this helps.

I'm having the same problems here for my Iphone 3gs it keeps showing that it needs charge. I tried both laptop and wall charger.. nothings working.. please help
