Joe: (I grabbed Rosey and ran to the car.)
Rose: Daddy, you're hurting me!
Joe: (I looked down and realized I was a mess, forcing Rose into her carseat and buckling her roughly.)Sorry, baby girl. Daddy's just anxious, we're going to see Mommy. She's awake.
Rose: Really!!!
Joe: Mhmm.
(10 minutes later)
Joe: *runs in with Rose in his arms, sets her down in Nick's lap and runs to Demi's room, not even bothering to ask anyone.*(I ran as fast as I could into Demi's room, I was crying I could feel it. I came to a hault right when I entered the room. There she was, eating jello. It was as if nothing even happened. She looked the same, except her hair was brushed. I just now realized how long it had gotten. It was almost as long as..Miley's. She looked so tired. I just stood there for a minute, staring at her before shaking out of it, realizing that the love of my wife was awake...she was moving and everything. She noticed my presense and her face turned to me.)D-D-(I couldn't even say my name.)
Demi: Hi.
Joe: (I couldn't help myself, I was crying like I did the day of the accident, but they were happy tears. I went over to Demi and sat down beside her. I couldn't hug her or kiss her or say anything to her. She knew I was overwhelmed, she could see it. She simply took me in her arms and comforted me.)
