  • How did all that smoke get into the basement if the fire was upstairs? I always thought the heat and smoke make their way upwards and not down. A fire across the street from me last month was on the second floor and there wasnt any smoke coming from the 1st floor when they went in.

  • @TheWaynelds the fire extended down the back porch area and allowed smoke to enter the basement from the rear windows.

  • Hi there great video i like it a lot, but let me ask you something, i have seen a lot of movies about the american firedepartment, but why they dispatch so many tankers to a house fire i have seen 4mor 5 in this movie.

I live in the netherlands and here we send 2 tankers and a ladder and an officer could you explain that for me please?

    Thanks

  • @marcelrotgans In this area, some locations have hydrants and some don't. That why some calls have the tankers. However numerous companies in this area have combined apparatus. Instead of having an engine and a tanker, several companies now have engine/tankers as their first line engine.

  • how come as soon as the fire is put out the roomm got a lot brighter???

  • @1stresponder1 I believe that is because the camera is picking up the daylight from the windows behind us after the fire was knocked down.

  • Name a fire company that follows every NFPA Rule!

  • @lvfd1078 Well we are originally called for Rapid Intervention Team on calls in Company 20's first due. So we do a lot of outside work initially when we arrive on the scene. However, we were assigned different tasks on this call when we arrived. I also look at it like, with the mask on when you arrive on the scene you might miss a lot. Your mask steams up and blocks your vision of the outside of the building or house. You might not see important information about the fire and/or it's conditions.

  • @irons22man I think he is associating tankers and engines as the same thing. In response to your question @marcelrotgans , in America, we dispatch 4-5 engines on house fire because we do so much interior attack, unlike Europe, as well as many other assignments for "extra" apparatus, such as RIT, or Rapid Intervention Team to rescue potential downed firefighters. Hope that helped Marcel.

  • look at the dumbass in the van at 14sec i guess he was trying to get a new van

  • @irons22man better yet, name 1 nfpa rule. theyre all guidelines, nothing is set in stone.

  • @irons22man ok thank you. excelent quality btw
