Fireman Hit by Window Falls From Ladder

Early morning house fire in 1997 on Garson Ave., Rochester, NY
This was captured by a Channel 10 cameraman, who just happened to be in the neighborhood. I was working as an outside vent man, when another fireman inside the attic was clearing out a window. Unfortunately, the window was poorly installed and the whole frame came crashing down on me as you will see.

The cause of the accident can be blamed on an improper installation of the attic window. There was a crew in the attic ventilating and one of the guys struck the mullion to clear the window and the whole casing came out. It hit me right above the elbow on the right arm, the rest you can see for yourself. My brother firefighter felt terrible for what had happened, as any professional would.
