@theengineer5 No, it was indiscriminate bombing of civilians, exactly like Israeli attacks on Gaza and West Bank. He did not need to be this ruthless. And like I said, the security forces are the ones who kept the peae by having secret police everywhere. No need to kill 40 000 people, you ignorant fool.

@bachaka61 it was not a massacre..it was fight against terrorism...thanks to Assad Syria had peace for 40 years...look at the countries around it...Assads still have widespread support in Syria today...

For your information, Syria could never have been like Lebanon, because there is secret police at every corner, that make sure that no one is causing trouble. If hama did not happen Syria would have turned into another Lebanon where Syrians from different factions would be killing each other and 100 times the victims would die...he was strong handed but he had vision..
