Snoring is a common phenomenon for a millions of people around the world but it can also be the symptom for a life threatening condition known as sleep apnea. There are several methods available to cure snoring, including surgery. Surgeon Dr. Stanley Chia of the Washington Hospital Center explains why none of the surgical procedures in practice provides a complete cure for snoring. However, Dr. Chia says that while snoring itself is not a serious medical problem it can be a symptom of one.
