  • It is hand made, sorry there are currentlly no existing kits of this ship, you will have to build it yourself.

  • I think I spent 3 or 4 months building it, I am still tinkering with it, and sail it often.

  • I honestlly do not know how much it would cost to buy working cannons and extra electronics to make a working armed pirate ship. I can build a working sailing model within my buget of about $200 dollars and a lot of time to sail rigg to servos, a 4 channel radio can leave me 2 exra servos for firing a device or raising an anchor and extra pulleys.

  • If you are refering to getting special cannons that fire, I believe that they can be special ordered online or through hobby shops and even RC magazines. These systems are built for fighting battleships and fire bbs to sink the Enemy! Their electronics are also fully waterproof!

  • It sails but doesn't shoot.

with added hardware it can also fire but it may not be a good idea because it many cause fragile parts to break off in recoil!

  • The sails are held up by the mast and rigging- It is very complicated and is best refered to by studying a book on ships.

This ship is made simplified in its rigg and has been edited so that it could be simply run on 2 servos

  • Whats a Rar?!!!

the rudder is controlled by a servo and the sails as well the sail servo has a very long arm for extra leverage- did you mean spar?

  • after searching the web to see if anyone had built a working model of the black pearl in Rc... I marched upstairs and filmed my project and up loaded this video.

It is one of my first films uploaded.

  • the Hull is ablot 2 and a half feet long and its about a foot at its widest point.

  • that is true sometimes and in the case of RC sail boats / ships that do not have propellers , the model sailing vessel will not move if the wind were to stop,(becalmed). for that reason expert sailors always have a retrieval RC tug boat on standby and fully charged! If your in a group regatta make sure you have a friend that has one or get ready to swim!

some parks do not allow swimmer recovery so look into RC recovery kits and the latest gear.
