Introducing Nate, my 18 month old GSD, career change dog from Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. After the sudden deaths of both Luca (age 9 from cancer) and Pan (age 4.5 years from a sudden spinal event) I was in need of a new candidate for an assistance dog, and I didn't want a young puppy. I was extraordinarily lucky, perhaps with a touch of Kismet, that at the just the moment of my need, Nate was also in need of a new career. He's an extraordinary dog. One of the most overly sweet, even cuddly, dogs I have known. He learns faster than the speed of light, and is a joy to clicker train because he figures out shaping games as fast as I can think them up.
