I think you are wrong about the loner/socially awkward profile of murderers that you describe. There have been several murderers who were sociable, well liked, married, parents, and still commited henous acts such as this recent one. Look up Joe Stacks for example, or Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy, even Lee Harvey Oswald was married with children.

@ajames95 I am familiar with many of those guys and "loner" would not be a word to describe them. I will say, however, that they all had some unresolved dysfunctional aspects to sexuality in their relationships. John Wayne Gacy, for example, was in denial of being gay and would have sex with and murder homosexuals.
